Head Chef (Full-Time)

Compensation: Hourly or salary is available based on experience. 

Other benefits: all staff receive % of tipping pool, free staff meals while on shift

 

Boogie is hiring for a Head Chef to take charge of their food service, leading both dining room and takeout delivery offerings. The perfect Head Chef would be someone who can whip up dishes that make taste buds dance with delight, who takes pride in ensuring that every aspect of their work is of the highest quality, and who can communicate effectively with other team members - all while being open to working flexible hours that may include weekends and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads day-to-day kitchen operations.

  • Supervise kitchen staff.

  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.

  • Report kitchen equipment and procedure issues for improvement.

  • Create new dishes to add to the menu on an ongoing basis.

 

Qualifications include 3+ years of experience, excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, effective communication skills and food handling certification.  Nice to have – management and menu engineering experience.
